Use of the impedance measurement method to clarify the age of death occurrence

Impedance measurements of biotissues of model objects - pig carcasses - were carried out at different stages of postmortem period in natural biocenosis and under standardised conditions. The results of the study of impedance dynamics and its dispersion are presented. The existence of a correlation between impedance indices and intervals of postmortem period is established. The possibility of using impedanceometric data to determine the age of death within the framework of reconstruction of stages and conditions of the postmortem period is discussed. The processes occurring in the corpse are analysed. Keywords: age of death, biological tissues, postmortem changes, impedance, impedance dispersion.
