New results are presented in the direction of improving the spectral properties of inorganic materials of the alkali-earth metal fluoride group by coating them with carbon nanotubes (using the example of MgF2) optical material). Modeling and data analysis indicate that the resulting nanostructures can be used as modern transparent optical elements, such as nanostructured protective windows, plane-parallel plates, for devices in the UV range of the spectrum. The studied structured material can be used as a new structural material for optical emission and X-ray spectrometers. Keywords: Protective windows, nanotubes, spectrometers.
