The impact of the Doppler effect on isotopically selective laser photoionization of lutetium has been experimentally studied using a three-step scheme 5d6s2 2D3/2-5d6s6p 4Fo5/2- 5d6s7s 4D3/2-(53375 cm-1)o1/2. Keywords: laser isotope separation, laser selective photoionization, lutetium-177.
