Effect of the concentration of the substitution impurity strontium on the magnetic ordering temperature in La1-xSrxFeO3-δ and its sensitivity to heat treatment

The dependences of magnetization on temperature of La1-xSrxFeO3-δ (x=0.33, 0.50, 0.67) samples before and after vacuum heat treatment are studied. The Neel temperature TN, at which weak noncollinear ferromagnetism is established, is determined for each sample. The introduction of a substitutional Sr impurity into La1-xSrxFeO3-δ leads to a decrease in TN. This effect is compensated by vacuum heat treatment, during which an increase in TN is observed. Antiferromagnetic ordering at room temperature in annealed samples is confirmed by the presence of an intense Raman peak of two-magnon scattering at 1360 cm-1 in the Raman spectra.
