Simplified Bragg-Snell law applicability for anodic alumina oxide photonic crystals

In this research we show the results of the simplified and general Bragg-Snell law comparison in determination of photonic band gap position. Aforementioned law is used for describing anodic aluminum photonic crystals. The results were obtained by varying different parameters in calculations. Keywords: photonic crystal, aluminum oxide, porous material, photonic band gap, anodizing, effective refractive index.
